Tad is Back, Still Stuck in the Past

He’s back, but not any brighter: Tad, the numero uno IT salesman from VMlimited. Last week marked the launch of our second wave of the deadpan campaign for Microsoft visualization, which shows its competitors still stuck in the past.

Tad is our clueless IT salesman from VMlimited, the made-up virtualization company that sounds coincidentally close to *ahem* a competitor in the virtualization space. This time Tad is giving a Tad Talk, not to be confused with a Ted Talk, on the hidden bummers of going too far beyond virtualization. Tad amplifies VMware’s—I mean, VMlimited’s—shortcomings in the virtualization space.

Tad is back to his old tricks answering audience members’ earnest questions about his solution with clever responses that include grooming advice, a costume change and (Spoiler alert!) a confetti gun! If that’s not enough, Deutsch NY created additional videos of Tad talking on a variety of important cloud topics, such as managing multiple hypervisors, cloud economics, app insight and an impressive bike jump via a YouTube annotation.

Early results indicate we have another success on our hands. The commercials were directed by Napoleon Dynamite’s Jared Hess, no stranger to clueless van-driving dudes living in the past.

Check out all the great work at VM-limited.com.
