Hi! My name is Alana Friedlander and I am an intern in account management at Deutsch NY. Fellow interns Kate Mahler and Javon Lloyd will join me in keeping you updated on all of the exciting things we are doing this summer at Deutsch.

Yesterday, 36 of us (that’s right, 36 – we are the largest group of interns yet!) began our first day here at 111 8^th Ave. Though we were all a bit nervous, we were given a warm welcome by Felicia Geiger, Genae Gerson, and the fantastic Deutsch HR team. We were later introduced to CEO Val DiFebo, who was extremely friendly and really made an effort to meet each of us and answer our burning questions.  This was such a treat, since it’s rare to have a CEO so involved in a summer internship program.

The next step was to meet our mentors for the summer, and were immediately caught up on our teams’ projects and given our first assignments. We have interns working in almost every department, including digital production, creative, planning, design, account management, and media buying/planning.

We have an eclectic group of interns this summer, with students from all over the world. We have different majors, talents, and interests, including a Junior Olympic ice skater, and a Guinness World Record holder. We all look forward to getting to know Deutsch this summer and the way this business works. I have no doubt that the next few weeks will be full of adventures. Stay tuned for more intern updates!
