New Target Work Has People Crying—for the Right Reasons

When we first previewed our new Target spot “Acceptance” internally, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. We’re glad to see that the ad, which highlights Target’s support for K-12 education by showing real kids opening their college acceptance letters, had the same effect on the people watching it.

After the commercial ran in the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics last week, we saw a slew of tweets about people crying during the spot. Read the best of them—and watch the spot—below.

Almost every tweet about the commercial mentioned crying. We have no idea why.
