Winston Binch: How Hybrid Learning is Educating the Working World
Just as the smart phone changed the way we communicate, hybrid learning is doing the same for academia and industry. In Hollywood terms, higher education is getting a face lift.
According to an article in US News and World Report, hybrid learning, which combines online education with in-class instruction and out-of-class work, will be more common by the year 2020. While higher education professionals are “changing with the times,” Winston Binch, partner and chief digital officer at Deutsch LA, says the corporate world is also taking a look at the way it educates its employees.
“It’s not just the colleges and universities that need to adapt and have more of a modern approach to their educating,” says Binch. “It’s also the businesses themselves that need to get more aggressive in how they’re educating their employees.”
Deutsch LA, Binch says, is formulating a way to use digital tools to “educate our employees from the day that they walk in.”
